"Poorly Me"

Dear All

I will not be appearing on Blip today (this is an old photo of me) as unfortunately I am in the “Dog Hospital” .I felt really poorly yesterday afternoon after my walk and was sick a few times. Mr OE took me to see the Lady Dog Doctor last night and she stuck a big needle into the back of my neck (some sort of antibiotic) to calm my sore stomach and said that I could go home but must return in the morning for another appointment with my own Vet to be checked over. I slept most of the night but was sick all over a mat in the bedroom at 5:00am this morning; lucky for me Mr & Mrs OE were on hand to clear it up.

Mr OE did use some bad words as he was scraping it off the carpet, he said that it was “---------------- yellow and warm"  (too much information) We went back to see the Man Dog Doctor this morning and he said that because I had not had a drink all night and I was very dehydrated I had to stay in the hospital and have a tube stuck in my leg with a bag attached to it full of good fluids to rehydrate me. Mr OE assured me that even though it was not alcoholic it would make me feel so much better.

Mr OE spoke to the Man Dog Doctor this lunch time who said that I was responding to the rehydrating drip and I had not been sick anymore. After various blood test done this morning the Doctor said no signs of Pancreatitis (phew! thank goodness for that as apparently it can be very nasty) but I probably have picked up a bacterial infection in my stomach!

It looks like I shall be staying in this Dog Hospital tonight to make sure that I am thoroughly rehydrated and feeling Al before letting me come home tomorrow morning!
