Drive-through

On my working days more often than not I will post the office mail (or mail the office post). Today I posted a batch at lunchtime using the drive-through post box on our estate. It's great: it's perfectly positioned so that you can pull up alongside it, wind your window down and pop the envelopes in while sitting comfortably in your seat.

I took another load at the end of the day and, having left work too late to catch the last post on the estate, I went to the sorting office. I have a nice little routine going with the postman there who, when I pull up at 5.45 (the time of the last post), walks over to my car. I wind my window down, he relieves me of the post, I thank him and go on my way; again without having to get out of the car. What a service!

In other news, I have joined the postcard-thingy! Time to get writing (and get some postcards to write on) :)
