These are two of my work colleagues who have both volunteered to do Olympic duty and bravely modelled their outfits for us at our weekly staff briefing today. Mr C and Ms F put themselves forward quite independently, only to find that not only had they been put in the same area, they were doing a lot of the same shifts. What are the chances?

TSM and I were on a work telecon today, me in the office chairing with a few others and she on the end of a phone in Gatwick. We had a little competition to see who could say "Absolutely! Thank you (name of other person)" the most times. If you saw the recent episode of the BBC spoof "Twenty Twelve" where the incompetent police constable uses this as a strapline you'll know where we got it from ...

To complete the Olympic theme there were a few little jokes at the expense of a certain security company doing the rounds today as well...
