This is the new kitchen rug! I know, I know, I'd been trumpeting how I'd slaved over the cleaning .....
'The unswept floor' is a classic Roman mosaic theme. It was the ultimate 'show off'. Not only did you have plenty enough to feast on and have scraps to discard, you could commission a piece to record this decadence.
*Modern day blip equivalent (hope you're all buying that!).
