Dean Cemetery

I took a brisk walk up the Water of Leith and scrambled up a bank to get into the Dean Cemetery. I'd been there once before when Edinburgh had ground to a halt in the snow. They certainly knew how to give the dead a send off back then. The sombre splendours of the long-departed and important persons of Empire, Church and Town live on in their serried ranks and overwhelming pomp.

TKMax at Craigleith was quite a contrast as I bought a folding stool and then trundled round Sainsburys for the evening's entertainment. Which went well.

I saw the dipper and a kingfisher on the Water of Leith and walked by two people I used to know from West Cornwall before I could think of what to say.
