"Daffodils"

Backblip for Saturday 27th February 2016

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

The final verse of the poem 'Daffodils' by William Wordsworth (1770 - 1850)

The warmth of the house brought these daffodils into full bloom in just one day - they are Mum's favourite flowers.
