"A Field Flower"
Backblip for Friday 26th February 2016
There is a flower, a little flower,
With silver crest and golden eye,
That welcomes every changing hour,
And weathers every sky.
A verse from the poem 'A Field Flower' (On finding one in full bloom, on Christmas Day, 1803) by James Montgomery (1771 - 1854)
These daisies definitely survive all weathers, painted onto an iron post in the Market Square in Chesham. Noticed while I was browsing around the local shops.
