Homeless

After the horrible weather this morning we ventured out when the sun came out.  On the way home we squeezed through a broken fence into the grounds of Orton Hall Hotel. We used to use this path all the time but it was closed off at the main road by the hotel owners. It was nice to be back on the avenue of trees that eventually join up with the woods that we walk Indie in every night. Mr PB spotted this fallen nest. Such a thing of beauty. In hindsight I  wished I had brought it home. I hope someone else is using it to keep warm as the original owners won't be using it.

A chap from our cycling club came round to have a look at our old tandem. After a short test ride he bought it. We delivered it to him later that evening as we have a tandem carrier for the roof of the car. Great to have it gone to a new home.
