Gorms

Up early day ticket on bus and tram to get picked up for a day in the hills.

Fast progress up the road, then onto the first hill. A gem of a walk to hunt hill through Glen Lee. Lots of mountain hares, grouse and one slow worm.

This is the view north from the summit.

A descent via a brilliant gorge and waterfall.

A wee drive down the Glen for another stroll. A path for fast ascent then a slow slog to another path to the big trapped trig point. A chat with a young gamekeeper on the way out.



On the approach to both hills we came across apiaries that had been abandoned, empty hives lying trashed.
