Yellow Banks
Called over to see Rebecca and her girls before they set off for a couple of nights to stay with one of her friends whose family own a holiday apartment on the Yorkshire Coast near Filey.
On the way to her house I pass this entrance to a private dwelling and always marvel at the lovely banks of daffodils at this time of year.
There's no place to stop and take a photograph so l have often though of taking one from the car as we pass (when Mr P is driving!) But today l decided to go to the next lay by and walk back. There had been a recent downpour so the background is a little misty with low cloud on Ilkley Moor.
Further evidence of the rain can be seen in the large puddle which reflected the yellow.
If you look closely you can see the daffodils follow the road right up to the house. I wonder how many bulbs the family had to plant to get this cover?
I always envisaged taking a photograph of them in bright Spring sunshine but there wasn't much of that about today.
A big thank you for putting my Grandchildren on page one of the pops! They were thrilled ( me too X)
