Oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus)

I went out this morning on the look out for a colourful seagull and found a colourful wader! Lovely to see this beautiful Eurasian Oystercatcher on the beach at Azaibah, his beak is so bright orange he did rather stand out against the Seagulls and Crested Terns. The sea is so flat and smooth this morning it was absolutely beautiful, shame about the humidity. Looking back at my posts I see my last sighting of an Oystercatch was on the island of Masirah, so it is lovely to see on up this end of Oman.
