Magnolia seed reflected

The magnolia seeds are proving quite fascinating. Not only are there many different shapes and shades, they ripen different colours. I am pretty happy with the colour of the orange/red. The purple is slightly overblown and I can only guess it is because I was in the cubby hole and a little dark.
I tried using a macro filter but came out better just on the camera macro.

In the extra is an insect we saw flying at the estuary yesterday and can't decide what it is. Cicada or cricket or other?
