Monday: Sirmione

We left Trieste this morning, headed three hours west and are now in Sirmione, on the shores of Lake Garda. A lot of the drive was rainy but it cleared up beautifully by the time we arrived. On the down side, both K. and I are suffering from colds (my third in eight weeks) but we are more walking wounded than debilitated.

Sirmione is beautiful but very touristy. It is heaving with tourists but they are mainly day trippers so it really comes into its own in the evening.

Our accommodation has no wifi so I am currently that obnoxious person, on my iPad in a restaurant.
