The Brack

My debut appearance in MonoMonday.

Easter Monday and it was an opportunity for another jaunt in the hills, no Storm Katie in Scotland.

I headed west to Arrochar and parked near the Rest-and-be-thankful off the road below Ben Donich. The summits were hidden in cloud, and fresh snow lay to ~450m altitude. Onwards to the path and up to the summit of Ben Donich (854m) after an hour of plodding in the snow. The clouds parted to show me a view of nearby hills but nowt more.

Then a soggy descent to the bealach between Ben Donich and the next hill, The Brack. I passed some other walkers on the ascent as we all slithered up the wet snow and grass. At the top, my 100th Corbett was in the bag (having compleated the Munros in 2011, I'm pursuing these lesser hills now - what a ridiculous past-time).

I descended into the green forestry corridors of Glen Croe and back to th e car in time for lunch.
