Aboyne

The weather was pretty miserable again. We intended a coffee at the "The Sign of the Black Faced Sheep". It was after lunch time but the cafe was still full. We thought by going for a walk for half an hour or so some tables would come free. We walked as far as this bridge of the River Dee before swinging round and returning to the cafe. The cafe was still full, no doubt people are loitering due to Easter.

We gave up and headed to the Milton. Here instead there was lots of free space. They seem to serve very small portions of chocolate cake. I was feeling rather cheated, but somebody else who came in and also asked for chocolate cake received a similar sized portion. This week The Gordon Highlanders Museum is the winner as far as cafes are concerned.
