A Day Worth Recording

Galley

Early container vessel with a load of of butternut squash.

M & C are with us this weekend and, amongst other things, we christened my recently acquired copy of Serenissima - a board game of transporting goods and controlling ports in the ancient Mediterranean.  'A' was here too at the time and commented that the orange cubes were just the colour of butternut squash.

It needs a 2nd play - this being our first we completely forgot to use one whole aspect of the game; which probably led to a strange end-game situation.

Pendantic gamegeeks will be aware that the orange cubes aren't actually a transported good, but artistic licence has been liberally applied, as always.
