Film Set

Doing a bit of research for tomorrows picture taking I came across mention of this place - Midhope Castle. It was used in the TV series called Outlander.
So, SWMBO and I headed off and I took one or two pictures.
There was a large doocot with one hell of a tree next to it. The trunk really was super.
Nearly as super as the postbox at the nearby church.

By the way .......... can anybody identify this plant? 
I thought it was a discarded pineapple top at first - but it was growing quite happily........... despite the rain and sleet which as coming down at that point.

I should have asked when we stopped for lunch at the garden centre - where I went to see how the fish tank was doing
