Outlaws
The boys at broken rock.
Cedar Lodge motel served its purpose very well and we headed for coffee at the students union in Armidale, Mike's old uni. Chatting so much on the drive out of town, with tales of 'The Lords' we didn't notice the nanny state speed enforcement notices, but unfortunately the cops did. Can you guess how much for the slightly speedy (not really) approach to a roundabout? 450 dollars and four points !!!!! He can appeal, but it is bloody ridiculous.
Licking our wounds we headed for the Thunderbolt trail. Our favourite outlaw. We visited his grave, toured the museum, climbed his lookout rock, bought the book and even got the coin.
Arriving in Tamworth, we were welcomed by John and Lynne, had a quick trip to the marsupial park and then more O'Connors returned for a barbie and a few beers. The boys had a knock around at tennis as Cockie the cockatoo cheered them on. Sanctuary!
