The Grand Shield

This is the Grand Shield.  (I went a bit arty, for those of you that what to see what it actually looks like, see the extras)

It's a trophy awarded for a yearly brass band competition, also called the Grand Shield - the band that won it in 2015 are shown in the extra.  It's quite big, old and falling apart a bit.  It was first awarded in 1902, to Leicester Imperial Prize Band and has been used on and off for a couple of contests ever since.
