Like noone's watching.....

The kid danced for two hours today. Because she simply can't NOT dance. Y'all might get fed up of "Katie dancing" shots, but there's a journey happening at the moment in her dancing. She is completely built for classical ballet, in her shape, her technique, her heart. But recently, there's a very expressive contemporary dancer coming out. And she has an incredible knack for recalling and replicating moves she sees. It's when she's totally absorbed in her own dance-world that these come out.

Apart from popping into town for some last minute Easter gifts (and a couple of bags of Golden Eggs, yummmmm!) we've been home all day. I had a load of work to do. My working day was broken up by an hour's piano this morning with her and a clarinet practice later on. She ate, danced, did music, ate danced, did music. Ate some more. She's been unstoppable on the food today. She can't possibly be due another growth spurt, she's just had one! She's done some adorable pretend play today - she wrote a report about how the pretend children had dealt with the new phonics exercises she'd set them, and what tasks she'd planned for their Really Wild Club sessions.

She's excited for tomorrow - she gave me a wonderful Katie explanation of why we have a dawn service. About how Easter Sunday is about Jesus rising from the dead, so the sun coming up is like Him coming up and it's a way to remember that. Then get chocolate. "But you're the Easter Bunny, aren't you, Mama? Like you're Santa too".

It's pouring down tonight. The egg hunt is an inside one this year! I think I've hidden stuff well enough that we can get to the dawn service without her noticing much, especially given I'm going to have to get us out at what will feel like 5.15 am!

I've added extra today, because I just adore seeing her completely throwing herself into dance. Neither are technically fabulous photographs but they're a moment of fabulousness instead!
