Bearded Gannet
Thanks so much for putting yesterdays cheeky gannet on the pop page.
I have put a related species up today, I thought about calling him McGannet :-) They are are so much fun to watch, today collecting nesting material from the tops of the cliff.
The day started in spectacular style, we got up early to watch the sunrise over Bempton Cliffs (in extra). It turned out to be the best part of the day as the clouds moved in soon after. It was so invigorating walking in the bracing morning air. Even if I was yawning for the rest of the day, which was spent in the N York Moors. It was good to see the wild daffs in t'dale, Farndale to be precise, although they do need a couple more weeks to hit their peak.
