Wanted! Your Ideas Please

Our frontage is need of some TLC! Can you help?

We're looking for ideas and inspiration to re-green our front space (without recourse to any hard landscaping - no gravel, grates ...).

Would you plant anything on the boundary? Or just re-turf? We're thinking something low-lying?
