Oh.....I've been saved for....

.....another year!  Our rather battered little chick has made it onto a Simnel cake again.  R had requested one and so, ever the dutiful wife, I made it yesterday.  Couldn't get the yellow marzipan but I think it looks alright like this.

Extremely wet and windy here - feel so sorry for all those folk on holiday with children and not able to get outside.  Perhaps tomorrow will be better.....
