2016 Monday -- Island off Santa Barbara

Off the coast near Santa Barbara, Carpenteria, Ventura, and Oxnard there are a chain of islands. Today as we drove back to southern California those islands were encircled with clouds.

Because we left later today, to head back to SoCal, we found ourselves in thicker traffic, but not till we were further south than this location. At this point in the journey, the traffic is usually quite light and the scenery is interesting.

We left Cayucos late because we wanted to leave Hank's House thoroughly clean with freshly washed towels and beddings -- our granddaughter, Ashly, and her fiance Robert will be comin up on Thursday night to spend the first weekend of her spring break from Cal Poly Pomona. It will be the first time she has seen the house since it has been remodeled, and only the second time ever that she's been there. They saw the house a year ago just before construction started.
