The First Day of Skiing…

…and the sun shone!
We were waiting at the bottom of the lift. We could hear the “crump” of explosions as the personnel worked to clear the avalanches so it was safe to ski. Our first lift was due to open at 10.00.
And then the clouds parted and the sun broke through. It wasn’t sunny all the time but enough that it was a good day. We skied a long way and heaps of soft snow appeared later in the day so we all finished skiing around 3 o’clock, happy but tired!
