Threave Castle

Visited a 14th Century tower built by Archibald the Grim today. The location was far from grim - walk through a nature reserve and ring for the boatman who ferries you across to the river island it sits on. We got there early and had it to ourselves for half an hour. It would be a great light painting subject - but the boatman knocks off at five.
