birthday tea

Mr B's 35th birthday was spent cycling the Monsal trail - so much fun. And then birthday tea with the family at our current Broadbottom residence. More fun and lots of noise.

We went out for drinks later and ended up looking after a lady who we thought might have had a stroke. Mr B spotted her from the comfort of his bar stool and dashed straight outside to help. She was lying on the floor as though drunk but once we engaged with her, we started to think something else was up. It takes a long time for ambulances to get to Glossop so it ended up being a very late night. I was amused by our fireman friend, Andy, who went into work mode and looked after her amazingly well - our patient definitely took a shine to the fireman. What is it about women and firemen?!?!

Happy birthday to my Mr B. I'm grateful to have spent almost 17 of his 35 years as his best friend and coming up to 13 as his wife. The benefit of meeting way back when is that we've been together forever but we've only just begun. Yeeha.
