Fort Augustus

On the trip home we called in at Fort Augustus, to see the locks of the Caledonian Canal. We saw Neptune's Staircase at the other end of the canal on the drive up on Monday. 

Fort Augustus is a bit of a tourist trap -  and not in a good way! We'd hoped to see an exhibition on Thomas Telford, the canal's engineer, at the Scottish Canal Centre but it was just a tourist shop :(
