Tech in the trees: Eden on Channel 4

We returned to one of our favourite beaches today: Camus an Lighe, which is also known as the Singing Sands.

We were last here on a very sunny day in May last year with Katharine and Jack, and the time before  in July 2014 it was on one of the hottest days that we have ever experienced in the far north of Scotland. Today we visited under grey skies, grateful that we made it to our destination and back before it started to rain.

I blipped these satellite dishes on our 5k walk along the forest track to the beach. These have been erected for a reality television programme that is currently being filmed nearby. The other obvious sign of the Channel 4 show Eden in production was an immense 3 mile long fence constructed around the site of the contestants' compound.

In other news we introduced our hosts to Settlers of Catan after dinner this evening. They both enjoyed it so we plan to play again over the next couple of days. Mr hazelh was rather pleased with himself because this was the first game that he has ever won.

Exercise today: walk to the beach and back (17,243 steps).
