Pelicans

There were a couple of pelicans on the river scooping up with their long bills from the bottom of the riverbed and just enjoying whatever came up.
 Its mid-afternoon, it has rained the whole day with one or two small breaks in between the gentle fall of rain, i thought the first rains would make a loud appearance with lashing rain and thunderstorms (the forecast) instead it is weaving us in gently with the pitter patter of raindrops, gently does it, i know we need to have  a lot more rain yet, just like the pelicans we are enjoying the day ..
