Holker Tree

Today was a bit wet and we decided to venture 200 yards to the stately home next to where we were staying - Holker Hall - and subsidise the great british aristocracy... just a bit of research in advance of the revolution you understand... Nice gardens, big house, lots of folk in anoraks dodging showers. The soup in the cafe was tasty, but someone should tell the chef that you're supposed to wash the dirt off the leeks - polished my teeth on the grit.
