Buns..

There is nothing quite like home made hot cross buns.  My eldest daughter came home last night and had requested that we make these for tea today. She made these ones from a Mary Berry recipe on the internet and it worked a treat.  They were delicious and looked very professional indeed.  I decided to try a Paul Hollywood alternative which was Gluten free and whilst they had a really good flavour they were definitely more like a cross between a  rock cake and a spicy fruit scone.  Surprisingly good and probably better than any gluten free ones in the shops!!  Hurray for Paul and Mary!
What a lovely day it has been.. the sun shone and we managed to eat our lunch outside for the first time this year.. hopefully there will be more opportunities!!
