1916 Rising

On our way back from Dublin we stopped off at Cahir castle - a rather impressive moated job which had an interesting display about the 1916 Rising. I liked this patchwork display which was hanging from the rather elegant roof. I wish I had read who this was meant to represent! This weekend there are many events going on all over the county commemorating the Rising - more here  if you'd like to know more.
