Remains of the Fall

A leaf, neatly mummified in the dry Arizona air, lies preserved in form, if not function.  I came across this beautiful thing in my backyard after the big blow (no rain, just wind) we had yesterday.  I don't have any idea how it survived, but seems pretty much unscathed.
