Island life

Sometimes I think this epitomises life on the pebble.
Today, there was lots of tea, and the books served a decorative purpose only. I do like the services here, both attending and leading them, but I also like my days off. Sometimes I use quotes from the services out of context at random times during the day - often feeling a funny mix of exasperation and endearment. The words are so familiar, but not always do I find all of them meaningful. Days off allow me a break from them, and thus often let me reconnect or find different bits that speak to me.
Today also involved sunshine and lemonade and shopping and conversations and openness and honesty and hugs and friendship - all of which I'm deeply grateful for.
