Biker Girl

Having had all that excitement, stress, heartache, crossness and partying yesterday it was nice to have a day with nothing planned and nowhere to be.
The day did got off to a hideously early start again though. Miss L came in at 5.30am saying she'd had a nightmare. She snuggled up with me and wriggled, snored and chatted for the next hour or so. She eventually went to watch telly and I snuggled down for a bit of a snooze.
For about two minutes before Miss E came in giddy to get going with her sewing machine so could I get up and help?
No, sod off and let me sleep until noon you annoying child.
Of course baby!
She made herself the most amazing pair of socks out of tracksuit material - fluffy on the inside! And complete with pixie turnovers at the top. Just brilliant!! She's so proud of them!
And it was all done wearing roller-skates!
Then we decided to go out to test out the new bike. After faffing with her new helmet for ages to get it to fit we eventually set off.
To discover that she'd been fiddling with the gears to get it into first gear and the chain had fallen off.
I couldn't get the bloody thing back on.
Cue wailing and inconsolable floods of tears!
I offered to drive to Bicester to see if Papa could fix it but she decided to give the roller-skates their first outing instead.
She had a few tumbles but did really well.
And Miss L looked spectacular on her bike!
Tomorrow she's going to try Miss E's old bike which doesn't have stabilisers. I told her we need Daddy for that!!
