Determination

It is incredible these trees manage to flourish in this spot - stony ground and on a high exposed hill. The bent one in the foreground has clearly been battered but fought on determined to live and grow. An example to remember on days when the going gets tough.

A fantastic walk in the clear air up through Cademuir Woods and up on to the exposed hill. Wonderful views across to the Manor Valley. In the woods plastic markers were laid out for the weekend mountain biking race - an Enduro - so lots of very technical bits which to me looked impossible!
