The erratics

You never know which field they will appear in next. 

Forty years ago I would have been painting / designing night and day (I exaggerate, as usual) for my final show at college. That's a long time ago.

All I knew for certain, aged 21, was that I was never going to take another exam ever again once the finals were over.
