New lens, now what!

Cousin camp 2012 is over :( Had really lovely time, now very tired and I have to go to work tomorrow.
My new lens has arrived, but I don't really know what to do with it. Tried the macro with not much success. Definitely get a better view of the chimney pot, shame there's no interesting bird sat on it!
