Dinner for the Diver
I've been calling it a Great Northern, but I've now been told, by one who knows, that it's actually a White Billed Diver. Not brilliant photos of it, but I'm doing my best! It's a huge bird, powerfully built. If it stays, I shall hopefully get some better pics of it.
Also in extras - which I never thought I would use, I liked the discipline of one photo a day - is a little Easter visitor we had in the garden at lunchtime. Never seen one down in the village before. Over the last few years there fewer retired folk here and more folk who are away working during the day, and also more holiday homes. Lack of people means that wildlife can move in!
