Ready, Steady, Cook!

Yesterday evening, I was greeted with the contents of the fridge, laid out on the kitchen worktop in Ready, Steady, Cook fashion. "All this is going out of date", Beloved cautioned before asking what I could make of it? 

Cabbage
Mushrooms
Broccoli
Courgettes
Mozzarella
and
Leftover Sausages

After having checked that Beloved hadn't spent over her £5 budget, I asked whether we had any tomatoes, onion and garlic (which we did) et voila, we have 'whatever's in the fridge vegetable ragu' with pasta (whichever is in the cupboard) and leftover sausages, sliced at an artistically jaunty angle for added flavour and thrown in.

Pictured here, seconds before adding the going out of date sliced mozzarella on top to melt into the vegetables.

Naturally, it was the Green peppers who won this one (not that we had any of those).
