Millbank at night
The final of our weekly night orienteering series, planned by Mr P but with the checkpoints put out by me this afternoon because he, although out of hospital now, is "taking it easy". I was standing by the finish in the woods in the dark, experimenting with the flash on my camera. This is a water tank relic from when army vehicles were stationed in the woods during WW2, in secret ready for action, with head torch of an orienteer in the distance, and a little moonlight showing through the trees. The series stops for the summer because it is too light. I will miss my weekly jog round the woods in the dark with a head torch!
