Suspicion
I got off the train this morning to hear a TFL employee apologising to a man wearing a shalwar kameez and his young family for an insult thrown by a passing passenger. He shrugged as if the occurrence was not unusual. I thought "Come on London, you are better than this".
After yesterday's Daesh bomb blasts in Brussels, the West End was subdued. Fewer people on the streets than on a normal Wednesday.
If there is one thing other cities compliment us on, it is our ability to integrate and not lower ourselves to irrational racial stereotyping. I hope this continues.
