Dogs and Electrics!

At least the dogs are enjoying their morning walk/run. I made them climb the mountain, well that's a bit of an exaggeration but it's quite big to a Chihuahua and a Bichon Frise!
The electrical bit refers to the extra photo. Came back yesterday evening after being out to be told that the kitchen lights aren't working. There are 8 spotlight bulbs so I doubted they'd all gone but after checking the breaker I changed one to check, no joy.
All other ceiling lights downstairs are working so a bit of a mystery. Removed the switch from the wall, after switching the breaker off before Crispin25 shouts at me :-)
All the wires appeared to be solid and tight so this morning went and got a new switch. I don't know what can go wrong with the switch (2 way) but I'm not great with electrics so it was somewhere to start.
Still no joy.
Removed one of the two light fittings from the ceiling and checked if power was present, no joy!
It's not the breaker because the other downstairs lights are workng so I called the handy man (he does our window cleaning and he's handy as he just lives around the corner) to ask if he knew an electrician to which he replied "I'm a qualified electrician" - Bingo, what a great idea that was of Marlanes to ring him. He's out of the city until tomorrow evening so he will pop around when he gets back.
