Life's Journey

Norfolk wildlife

A second day of Norfolk sunshine, starting with breakfast al fresco.

Had a first today, boating on the Broads. We picked up an electric boat at Wroxham and had a lovely couple of hours heading down to Horning for a quick coffee break, then back. Beautiful riverside homes, smiling and waving people on other boats and hundreds and hundreds of birds, many scrabbling around the boat for bread. I had some lovely photos of us and our friends on the boat but as always I prefer not to blip people, so chose this photo of a goose who was taking off to catch up with us and the thrown bread. I'm quite pleased with this shot!

After a nice lunch at Staithe and Willow in Horning, we headed off on a seal hunt. We were rather sceptical that we would see any, so set off along the footpath towards the dunes. To our shock, even from a distance, we could see them bobbing in the sea; a really emotional moment.

Final cup of tea and teacake at the caravan and then headed hom, a really lovely, happy weekend, with good friends, fun, and sun too.
