luckily, this one counts
...after a morning of constant rain, the weather gradually improved and, by teatime, it became sufficiently bright (in the loosest possible sense of the word) to visit our local Dorset Wildlife Trust reserve in the vain hope that a butterfly or two might be brave enough to fly in the cool, damp, windy conditions. A few cowardly Meadow Browns were skulking about deep in the longer grasses and only this Six Spot Burnet Zygaena filipendulae was positioned suitably for a reasonable image. Fortunately, this moth and the Silver Y are on the Big Butterfly Count species list...
