Oh how lovely is the evening

Is the start to one of my choir's songs.

I left work early today as I needed to get back to Winchester to sing for the people staying in the Night Shelter. One always wonders why they are homeless.

As you can see it was a lovely evening. But it was also noisy as they were pile driving. They seem to be building another jetty for the Thames Clippers.

Duck update: on the way to work the lady duck wasn't there. I found a dead bird in the bushes but it wasn't her. But she was there on the way home. I know that nature will run its course but I will miss them when they go.
