Art Project; Day 1

I started my "impressions Of Guernsey" art project today.
I decided to paint the cliffs at Icart, based on a photograph I took not long ago (see link)
My lovely art teacher Miss Nic, really surprised me this morning when she approached me with this A1-sized wooden canvas frame that I had to make into a canvas to paint on, claiming she wanted to set me a challenge because she knew I'd be up to it...
Everyone else were given the choice of either A4 or A3 and I had to spend the first 2 hours making my own massive canvas! I wasn't expecting my week to be such a calling, but I am definitely up for it!!

After 2 hours of canvas making, an hour of letting it dry, and then 2 hours of painting the sea and the sky of my landscape, I was well on track and thought I'd made quite a good start!
