Backblip:Sunday

Blair Drummond to Bowlees. Woke to a sunny but frosty morning and an early start. Stopped at Annan Water services (Johnstonebridge) and took a side trip to Carlisle for a spot of impromptu vehicle maintenance. Forsook the motorway for a cross country trip via Alston and on to Teesdale, stopping on the way at Lambley Viaduct.

Parked up at Bowlees visitor centre for the night and wandered with my camera up to Gibsons Cave and Summerhill Force. By then too tired to get out the tripod and ND filters as previously planned. Heath Robinson manoeuvres with my fleece jacket and a dry stane dylke ensued
