For two days I actually thought they had abandoned the nest building, this followed a pattern of days where I had seen precious little activity around it. I wasn't sure, but had heard that they can start to build two nests then abandon the one.
Another was that they could build a nest in 2-3 days or equally take 2-3 weeks. I now suspect the latter, although when I saw this one sitting in the bush having looked like it was inspecting the outside of the nestbox previously, titling its head in all angles having a good look around, I was seriously beginning to question, if they had observed the human world too much and were taking after it....
I half expected a Blue Tit to show up with a Property Survey report in its beak, with a list of demands of what the interested couple wanted improved and installed in the nestbox, in order to confirm their move into it...
Thankfully, that was not the case, and this one just wanted a good feed before flying off, and I now wait to see what happens next .... :-)
